Since this was our 1st pregnancy, we were both very unsure of the upcoming events. After our time with Melanie I felt ready and confident to give birth naturally. She really helped us understand the whole process and what to expect with each step. When labor finally started we pulled out our notes from our class and followed with confidence. We did a lot of walking and moving to keep things progressing at a nice rate. We met our midwife and doula at the birth centre when I was 7 cm. Because of our knowledge, Andrew and I were able to work through the labor together with them monitoring us until it was time to deliver. It was such a wonderful experience and we are very thankful for our knowledge going into this great adventure. Thank you Melanie so much for your class. We were blessed with the textbook birth.  Bradley (and Melanie) prepared us by not only providing the necessary information on how labour would progress but teaches us to personalize the experience and enables us to use techniques that work for us as a couple.  As a labour coach, Tyler understood what I needed without being asked and was as tired but as proud of his part in the birth of our daughter as I was.  We were also able to enjoy our new family without the cloudiness of intervention.  Bradley prepared us mentally, physically and emotionally before the birth, during the birth and what to expect afterwards like no other prenatal classes could have.  We could have not asked for a better experience  Thank you Melanie. I came to class quite niave about the whole thing, thinking I would be just sitting around for hours waiting while my wife squeezed my hand and yelled at me.  Then through classes I realized what all was involved and how much of a "tool" I could be to my wife during labor. Adam

After taking the Bradley classes we have never felt more confident, prepared or excited for the upcoming birth of our first baby.  Our classes have taught us an abundant of information but really opened our eyes to understand that we have choices – choices that do not have to be routine.  We would definately recommend these classes. I was apprehensive about taking this course, as I thought "babies are born every second, the doctors need to know what to do, not you!!", but I took it anyway for piece of mind, and am SO glad I did. Every birth experience is unique, mine was unlike any of my family or friends, but I was never frightened as the Bradley course went over all different scenarios so I knew exactly what was happening and why. The end result was I knew exactly when to go to the hospital (never felt the disappointment of being sent home for false labor) my ride to the hospital was exciting, yet calm and to top it off I had a natural birth. I had no idea there are so many positions to give birth in, it blows my mind. How do people give birth without knowing this stuff.  We have loved all of your help and guidance and are super excited to experience the adventures that this baby will bring as a result of your influence! We really enjoyed class and feel that it helped us prepare for having a baby.  I especially loved learning about the nutrition and feel that it helped me gain weight properly and also helped me lose the weight after.  Cameron found they helped him feel more confident during labor and that the information given in class helped us make educated decisions. When I look back at labour I would describe it like a marathon! A start, a finish and some really hard work in between. The more you prepare the better the outcome will be.   Monica
